Talented musician Nina Sevilla (Zoe Sandejas) has difficulty controlling her anger. When a physical altercation lands her in trouble at school, Nina is forced to attend a camp where teens must work with deaf teens and find alternate means to communicate with one another. She meets Kiko Reyes (Romalito Mallari), who is deaf, and although their first meeting is a bit rocky, Kiko's gentle and patient manner, soon wins her over. When Nina learns that Kiko has a passion for dancing, their love of music creates a strong bond between the two. While their friendship thrives at camp, things are difficult in the world outside, as they must find ways to adapt to each other's world. Since winning the Audience Choice Award at the 2009 Cinemalaya, IF I KNEW WHAT YOU SAID has had continued success selling out at theater houses in the Philippines. Director Mike Sandejas (JUST LIKE BEFORE - HIFF 2007) has come up with another moving film that has won audiences over with its exuberant cast and memorable soundtrack with songs performed by Zoe Sandejas. - Minette T. Ferrer
