User Thumbnail A totally Californian perspective with clanging planging jangling alternative music blaring the whole first third of the film. Finally, they got to the aloha part and let us see people with brown hair/eyes/skin who spoke Hawaiian. The action shots in the big waves were often disappointing -- the frames not wide enough to distinguish one enormous wave at Jaws from the next. They did do a good job of connecting us to some fascinating people and an amazing variety of sports.
