User Thumbnail I laughed. I cried. This is one of those quiet films that pulls you in from the very first scene right up next to this really nice guy. You are right there with him as he finds himself -- of all places -- in a surprisingly beautiful and moving Japanese ritual of transition. And it is all done with an exquisite blend of humor and dignity. Hopefully this one will be available on dvd. It''s a gem.
